New Born Place

NBPlace-cropped.jpgCongratulations on your new addition.  We hope that your experiences as a parent will be pleasant and rewarding.  We appreciate your choice of Partners in Pediatrics to care for your child. It is our goal to provide the highest quality of health care for your child.

Welcome to the Newborn Place. The Newborn Place is Partners in Pediatrics’ clinic within a clinic. A clinic devised to provide for the special services new parents and new infants need. A clinic that provides comfort and direction as your family starts a new chapter in your lives.

The Newborn Place offers:

  • The opportunity meet with one of our providers and visit one of our clinics before your baby is born
  • Priority appointment times for your newborn.
  • Lactation support
  •  Experienced pediatric providers
  •  Phone guidance for families
  • A welcoming environment for your newborn
  • Support, information and comfort when you need it most

Our newborn support starts before you even come to one of our clinics.   Once your baby has arrived, our pediatricians will visit you and your newborn at the hospital. They will examine your baby and make sure that your baby is healthy. They will talk with you and answer any questions that you may have.

Our pediatricians will see you on the day you leave the hospital. They will help you arrange follow-up visits at the Newborn Place and advise you as you start this new journey.

Prenatal Visits.  Each PIP clinic offers a time for expectant parents to meet with a pediatric health care provider. The provider will discuss what to expect when you bring your new baby home, the schedule for routine health care visits and immunizations, and what to watch for when your child is ill. There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions. There is no charge for this visit. Parents are welcome to come whether they are anticipating the birth of a new baby or expanding their family through adoption. Partners in Pediatric providers participate in the prenatal classes offered at Maple Grove Hospital and Fairview-Southdale Hospitals.  Click here for a schedule of when PIP providers will participate.  Follow the links on this page to register for the classes at each hospital.

PIP online resources. The Newborn Place extends onto our web page. We have excellent information sources for new parents, newborns and those expecting to be expecting.
