PIP Bits
- Website offerings, Influenza season

Don’t remember how to get to the Brooklyn Park office? Can’t remember what your provider said roseola was? Not sure whether PIP takes your new insurance?

Answers to these and hundreds of other questions are available at Partners in Pediatrics web site. Enter www.pipstop.com into your web browser for all your pediatric needs.

You’ll find insurance information, directions to our clinics and information about our providers. You’ll also find access to answers to simple pediatric questions and longer information sheets on more complex pediatric problems.

Mark your calendar! Although the leaves have not started to change color and the snow plows are still hibernating, PIP is already preparing for the upcoming influenza season.

Plan for vaccinating your children against influenza if they have a chronic disease such as heart disease or kidney disease, underlying lung disorders like asthma, are on long-term aspirin treatment, live in a group home, have a weakened immune system, are less than age six or are household contacts of either anyone 65 years or older or anyone in one of the high-risk categories listed above.

More information to come in the next issue of Your Growing Child.
