PIP Welcomes Karen Moberg, RD

Thou shouldst eat to live; not live to eat. —Socrates
Never eat more than you can lift. —Miss Piggy

Mention food in a casual conversation and there will be as many comments as people present. Food does take up a great part of our day—buying it, preparing it and consuming it. It also takes up part of a well-child visit—when to start an infant on solids, what is a healthy diet and how to maintain a healthy body shape.

Your provider can give you a lot of advice regarding diet. But sometimes you need more. That’s when you need to talk with Karen Moberg.
Ms. Moberg is our new registered dietician. Ms. Moberg has done years of inpatient and outpatient nutrition education and counseling. She has extensive experience in all aspects of pediatric nutrition.

Ms. Moberg received her Bachelor of Arts at St. Olaf College as well as additional coursework at the University of Minnesota. She interned at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital through a University of Minnesota program. She is licensed in Minnesota and is registered with the commission on Dietetic Registration from the American Dietetic Association. She will see families and children at our Maple Grove office.

If you have a nutritional concern that may be helped by a dietician, please discuss your questions with your provider to see if a referral is necessary.
