PIP Adds New Provider

Partners in Pediatrics has added another pediatrician to our group. Larry Manney, MD, joined us last year to fill in while some of our providers were on leave.

In the fall, he became a permanent part of the PIP family.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Larry Manney has always had a connection with the midwest though his career has taken him to many cities.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Dr. Manney studied pediatrics in Los Angeles where he worked for a year in public health. Chicago was the next stop, working and teaching at a children’s hospital.

He eventually found his way back to the midwest and to the Twin Cities in 2000. In December 2002, Dr. Manney started working with Partners in Pediatrics to fill in for other doctors’ maternity leaves. Last fall it became official.

While he'll be working at most of the sites, his primary office will be the Brooklyn Park site. In addition to general pediatrics, he has a special interest in pediatric asthma and allergies. Other interests include traveling, gardening, cooking and “playing with my crazy dog.”

“I just love my job,” he says. “I get to be with kids all day. It’s hard work, but it’s so rewarding and a lot of fun.”

We welcome Dr. Manney to Partners in Pediatrics.
