| As a teenager, you are faced with
lots of choices and opportunities. Sometimes people don’t
make the best choices for their health.
You may wonder what to do if you or one of your
friends starts smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs or gambling
a lot. All of these activities can have a negative effect on your
life. Check out the CRAFFT questions
as a screening test. If you answer yes to any of these questions,
we encourage you to talk to your parents or your provider about
these issues.
Our providers are trained to help answer your questions
about these issues and can help you make healthier choices or provide
some information to talk to your friends. There are also some local
resources on this page (phone numbers and email addresses). Although
we always encourage you to talk with your parents or another trusted
adult, if you come to PIP to talk about drugs or alcohol use, that
is a confidential or private visit. You can call your provider to
make your own appointment. |
