Biography

Being raised in Dubai, Dr. Jiwa had the opportunity to attend the University of Wales, College of Medicine. She met her husband, Rahim, while doing an elective at the University of Minnesota. Subsequently, after finishing medical school and a year’s internship in medicine and surgery in Wales, she moved to Minnesota and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota in April 2001. Dr. Jiwa and her family reside in the Twin Cities. She enjoys tennis, badminton, reading, knitting and cooking.
