Minor illnesses and injuries can come up quickly. For your convenience, we offer same-day help for those unexpected needs at our clinics.

  • Walk-in Ready Care – offered at most of our primary care locations. No appointment is needed. Please note that we may close walk-in care early due to increased patient volume.
  • Same-day sick appointments – many of our primary care locations offer same-day appointment times for existing patients. Please call ahead to schedule these appointments.

Children’s Minnesota and Partners in Pediatrics primary care clinics are no longer accepting new patients aged 18+. Existing patients will need to transition to adult care by age 22. We encourage you to consult your clinician for transitioning assistance. Go here for additional information. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

When to use Ready Care

Consider using Ready Care if your child has a symptom listed below that started recently and is of a non-severe nature. New patients are welcome for Ready Care if their child has any of the symptoms listed below.

  • Common cough or cold
  • Fever
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Rash
  • Pinkeye
  • Minor injuries
  • Ear pain
  • Sore throat
  • Wheezing or acute asthma
  • Possible urinary tract infection
  • Sinus infection

When to make an appointment instead

Note that not all visits are appropriate for walk-in Ready Care. If your child needs a well child exam, has ongoing symptoms such as stomachaches and headaches, or special or complex health care needs, please call for an appointment so we can schedule an appropriate amount of time to address those needs.

If you have any questions about Ready Care services, or would like our help in determining the best appointment type for your child, please call the clinic.
